About Project

Biz Dojo is New Zealand’s largest co-working provider and was looking for Acoustic assistance with their premises in Takapuna.

The brief was to incorporate acoustics into the edgy design ensuring more meeting and boardroom spaces became functional. The challenge was to utilize concepts and materials from the Biz Dojo refit in Wellington in a space which required higher performing base mediums. Acoustic appraisals identified the need to use 50mm Quiet Space as a substrate material, and Nomadtika conceived an ingenious idea to install the fronting fabric backwards.

The result

This resulted in a flat pile finish to the Vertiface which more closely resembled the Cube product that had been specified in Wellington to such acclaim. The result is a triumph. An acoustic medium overlaid with hand cut, patterned fabric accenting the designers brief. Spaces which adhere to the Biz Dojo motto “that great results come out of working amongst a community of rad, driven, interesting, diverse humans.

Project Complimentary

Damon and his team helped us transform some acoustically challenging rooms into spaces that now not only look ‘on brand’ but also feel and perform the way we wanted them to. Their creative approach took a medium that we didn’t feel 100% matched our brand aesthetic and literally turned it on its back to provide a finish that is consistent with our brand identity. Nomadtika were a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to deliver spaces that we can be proud of.
